Who we are

Pick Your App operates pickyour.app — one-click open-source hosting: you pick an app, we size a dedicated cloud server, wire the domain and hand you the keys.

Questions about this page or anything legal: use the contact page or email [email protected].

What this covers

  • Terms of Service — the commercial terms of using the platform (read them).
  • Privacy Policy — how we handle personal data (read it).
  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA) — the addendum governing personal data we process on your behalf when you host apps with us.
03

Roles under data protection law

  • Your app data — the people whose data lives inside the apps you host are your users. For that data, you are the controller and Pick Your App acts as a processor, hosting it on the dedicated instance we provision for you. Our staff only accesses an instance when you explicitly ask us to in a support ticket.
  • Account & billing data — for your own account, invoices and support conversations, we are the controller (see the Privacy Policy).
04

Sub-processors

To deliver the service we rely on a short list of upstream providers — the same ones named in our Privacy Policy:

  • Our cloud — infrastructure hosting your instances.
  • Our registrar — domain registrations you order.
  • PayPal — payment processing.
  • Our mail host — transactional email delivery.

Getting a DPA signed

If you need a signed data-processing agreement (for example for your own GDPR paperwork), open a contact request or email [email protected] with the subject “DPA request”, and we'll send the document and countersign it. There is no separate charge for the DPA itself.

Billing records and financial data are retained as required by tax law — the same retention described in the Terms.
